Good news Marvel fans as new details for "Captain America: Civil War" have been revealed regarding Daniel Bruhl's role in the film and Sam Wilson replacing Steve Rogers for the mantle of Captain America.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the "Rush star talked about his excitement about his "secret" role in "Captain America: Civil War" movie.

"Absolutely. It’s huge for me. From the world I am coming from and the movies I have done, this feels big—megalomania and huge", Bruhl said to WSJ. "I think I will be walking around for the first week being amazed, like a little boy, to be in that universe. It is going to be fantastic. It is something new. That is why it is a challenge. But it is something I am very much looking forward to because this is entertainment on the highest level.”

Marvel fans are curious if what role Bruhl will he play in the movie as several rumors have been making rounds that he is a candidate to play another Captain America villain, Baron Zemo.

ComicBook.com previoulsy reported that Bruhl is targeted for the role of Baron Zemo due a leaked cast list from www.moviecastingcall.org. Screentrant further claimed that this version is Helmut Zemo, the son of Heinrich Zemo, the original Baron.

Den of Geek has reported that Bruhl has explain his side of things about the rumors of him being Baron Zemo.

“I am not supposed to say anything. I cannot even talk about the part, really, because I would be too afraid to give something away and then I’ll end up in the Marvel prison and I do not want that,” Bruhl said.

Aside from Bruhl's role in the movie, another rumor has been making rounds that Anthony Mackies character Sam "Falcon" Wilson will replace Steve Rogers as Captain America in the movie.

Mackie has explained his theory on the matter during an interview with The Windy City Live .

“Well, you know there are many incarnations in the comic book, and we are now going into the Civil War. So, if you look at it in the comic book, Cap gives Bucky the shield, Bucky gives it back to Cap, Cap gives it to me… Then Bucky goes off and marries Black Widow, so I keep the shield, give it back to Cap, and recently Cap wanted to be old, so he gave me the shield back and now I got the shield; I’m not giving it back,” Mackie said.

In the Marvel Civil War comics Steve Rogers was killed after the events of the war as several characters have took on the mantle of Captain America such as Winter Soldier, Hawkeye and even the Punisher.

Sam Wilson is currently Captain America in the recent comic book run due to Steve losing his powers. Could this the sign of things to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

"Captain America: Civil War" will be shown in theaters on May 6, 2016.
