Star Wars Battlefront' To Debut In April 2015? EA And DICE’s Console Game Confirmed For Playstation 4, Xbox One And PC Platforms

"Star Wars Battlefront" fanatics need to wait for some few more weeks before its debut. Fans will have a glimpse of EA and DICE's console game that is confirmed for Playstation 4 (PSP4), Xbox One And PC Platforms.

"Star Wars Battlefront will release on next-generation consoles including the Playstation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One as well as the PC," Star Wars Battlefront Headquarters website stated.

According to vcpost.com, Electronic Arts Company has finally announced the unveiling of the third installment to the franchise title will be held on Apr. 16-19 at the Star Wars Celebration Expo in Anaheim, California. However, the exact date is yet to be announced.

The game which received a "superb ovation" from some selected retail partners in a private event earlier this month is said to be slated for a December release date, which coincides with JJ Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode 7."

A lot of gamers are expecting update from "Star Wars Battlefront" developers but EA and DICE appear to be cagey about it yet. Previous reports suggested that the company is sticking to first-person gameplay as no official announcement has been made about a third-person perspective.

"Now, we at DICE are hard at work creating the best Star Wars shooter of all time, to carry that legacy into the future with 'Star Wars Battlefront,'" Niklas Fegraeus, DICE design director stated.

"We're building the game that we as fans want to play," he added.

Meanwhile, Star Wars Battlefront Headquarters website is giving an assurance that players can expect a lot of action in this game.

"The game will utilize DICE's state of the art Frostbite 3 engine, which promises plenty of destruction, scalability, and even dynamic weather effects," the website stated.

"Star Wars Battlefront" came about after Walt Disney Company and Electronic Arts made a deal to produce Star Wars video games since the closure of LucasArts,  Lucasfilm's own video game studio.
