"Paper Towns" is an unrelated story from John Green's previous filmed work "The Fault In Our Stars." The renowned author made it clear that the film is not a sequel to the box-office hit of 2014.

"'Paper Towns' is very different from 'Fault in Our Stars,' in every possible way," John Green said according to USA Today.

"Hollywood is so used to franchises. But this is not a series. It's an unrelated story that's beautiful and funny, and has a big heart," he added.

This "romantic dramedy" as coined by the publication stars Cara Delevingne alongside Nat Wolff. John Green admitted he is hesitant about casting the 22-year-old British model in the movie adaptation of his novel.

"When I heard (Delevingne) was auditioning, it was like, 'No.' Of course I thought that was crazy," Green said. "But then I saw the audition. She understood Margo in ways that no one I have ever met understands Margo."

New York Post noted how Cara Delevingne showed off her acting prowess in the movie where she played Margo in the "high school love story."

"Taking place in Orlando, Florida, Quentin "Q" Jacobsen (Wolff) lives next door to Margo Roth Spiegelman (Delevingne), his childhood friend from whom he has since drifted, but still has feelings for. So when she one day climbs through his window and summons him on an all-night road trip of revenge, he cannot help but follow her lead. The next day, however, Margo doesn't come to school, and after a few days it becomes apparent she is missing. Q soon learns that there are clues in her disappearance that seem meant for him to make sense of. But as he gets deeper into the mystery and discovers more about the person Margo actually is, he becomes less sure of who and what he is looking for," wikipedia described "Paper Towns'" plot.

Margo is the Quentin's object of affection even they have very contrasting perosonalities.

"She leaves Q clues. He thinks if he follows, he'll reconnect with the girl of his dreams," director Jake Schreier said. "It becomes this adventure."

"Paper Towns" will hit theaters on July 24, 2015.
