Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have been waiting for their first baby to arrive since March 24. Finally, the "19 Kids and Counting" stars' first child was born last Monday.

According to PEOPLE, the couple welcomed Israel David on Apr. 6,11:49 p.m. weighing  9 lbs., 10 oz. Contrary to what the young parents have prepared for, the 23-inches long baby was born in a hospital healthy.

"We are so thankful for a healthy Mom and baby! Love this sweet baby Israel! We are happy grandparents and we promise more pictures soon!" stated in a post in Duggar Family Official Facebook profile.

The new mom shared a snapshot of her new born in her Instagram account.

"He's a beautiful baby boy! Israel David Dillard, born last night at 11:49pm!" Jill wrote.

It was followed by a family picture captioned: "So thankful to God for this handsome little guy! 9lbs 10oz, 23 inches long! #IsraelDavidDillard #babydilly."

It has been previously reported by PEOPLE that Jill's knowledge as a student midwife keeps her calm and qualifies her to set two due dates for herself. March 24 and April 5 are the dates Jill gave the publication.

"I have told myself, 'First-time moms often go a week and a half over, so don't get discouraged,' " Jill said, admitting that she had her mind set to this from the beginning. "When everyone else is asking you, 'When are you going to have that baby?' The baby will come when the baby comes."

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have worked together prior to the birth of Baby Dilly's. The publication noted Jill's gratefulness to her husband as he make her feel comfortable in this current season.

E! Online added that the name of the couple's newborn was inspired by their "deep faith in God."

Reportedly, TLC confirmed that baby baby Israel David's birth special will be airing May 5.
