2AM's Lim Seulong Wins Newcomer Award at the Marie Claire Film & Music Festival

Idol Ballad group member Lim Seulong won rookie award for his debut in a movie.

The singer and actor attended the Marie Claire Film & Music Festival held in CGV Cheongdam Cine City in Seoul on February 20th.

On the event he won the Marie Clarie Newcomer Award for his role in the movie “26 Years.” In the movie he plays the role of a police officer plotting with other 4 people to kill a man who is responsible for a massive massacre in Korea.

On his accepting speech he said, “I am really happy for getting this meaningful award. I learned so much while acting in '26 years'.”

He is the third idol to receive a rookie award for their debuts in films. The other two were BIGBANG's T.O.P and Miss A's Suzy.

“26 Days” is about 5 men who masterminded a plan to kill the man who caused the biggest massacre in Korea, the Gwangju massacre. All of these man where direct victims of the shooting and 26 years later they get together to take revenge on this man who is heavily protected.

The film was released on November 29, 2012 and topped the Korean box office upon release.
