'Producer' Recorded Its Highest Ratings To Date

According to Nielsen Korea (Nielsen AGB), the May 29 episode of "Producer" recorded its highest ratings to date with 11.2 percent of viewers throughout tuning in. The fifth episode of the KBS series experienced an increase of  0.2 percent in nationwide viewership. Audiences have continued to tune in to "Producer," as the program begins to shift its focus from discussing the inner workings of variety show production towards the relationship dynamics of its main characters.

In episode 5, Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) is berated by Ra Joon Mo (Cha Tae Hyun) for his treatment of Cindy (IU), during the location shoot of "2 Days, 1 Night." Joon Mo criticized Seung Chan for his lack of concern, prior to witnessing the video of their tender interactions.

The episode also hinted at a burgeoning love triangle involving Joon Mo, Seung Chan and Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin). Ye Jin and Joon Mo have a life-long friendship, but tensions continue to rise after Ye Jin drunkenly confesses her feelings. 

The SBS variety show, "Law of the Jungle" topped "Producer," bringing in 11.5 percent of viewers. On May 29, "Law of the Jungle" aired its first episode that was shot on the Yap Islands. The current cycle features Park Han Byul, Kangnam, Sechs Kies' Eun Ji Won, 2AM's Jinwoon and SISTAR's Dasom. 

MBC's "Three Wheel Quiz," which is also in the 9:20 KST time slot, placed last with 3 percent. 

Reports also noted the performance of the tvN variety show, "Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village." Although, it is a cable variety show, the May 29 episode recorded 8.24 percent of nationwide viewership. Season 2 of "Three Meals A Day" has generated buzz, due to the inclusion of Hallyu star, Park Shin Hye. While she is a fan favorite, she has also been praised for her willingness to participate in cooking activities and her uplifting spirit.
