In the midst of falling RAW ratings, the World Wrestling Entertainment announced earlier this week that "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar will make an early return to WWE television on June 22.

This move comes in the wake of Monday's RAW doing its lowest rating since the mid-90s.

According to records on Inquisitr, the original idea was not to have Brock Lesnar return before WWE's Battleground PPV on July 19. Following his return, WWE planned to then begin building towards a Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam. But it looks like now; WWE Universe can expect to see Lesnar and Rollins lock horns at the Battleground show.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Rollins will face Triple H at SummerSlam instead of Lesnar.

Though it may seem to many that its kind of early to do Seth Rollins vs. Triple H, but since WWE plans to have Triple H go one-on-one with "The Great One," The Rock, at WrestleMania 32, they can't do it there, and they want it to take place on a big show.

If the company plans for a Rollins vs. Triple H at SummerSlam, it would imply that WWE would have to find another opponent for Brock and that too in a hurry as he has generally worked the show since his return to WWE. Rumors doing rounds suggest Lesnar could be doing a one-off match with "The Viper" Randy Orton at some point. That being said, Randy vs. Brock could be the match WWE goes to if they need a new opponent for Lesnar at the upcoming SummerSlam.

But that's not all, there are chances that Lesnar will be all over WWE television this summer. Moreover, Lesnar is slated to make his first WWE house show appearance in a long time this summer in Japan next month. He has a match against Kofi Kingston and the event is now sold out.

Basically, if ratings continue to fall, WWE will be compelled to pay Brock Lesnar to work more dates than he's contractually obligated to.
