"The Hunger Games:Mockingjay Part 2" trailer is set to be released in July. The official poster, however, for the last installment of the franchise has been released earlier this week.
In "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2's" official Twitter page, the official poster for the film has been revealed. Similar to the first installment of Mockingjay, the photo showed a headless and crumbled stone statue of President Snow (Donald Sutherland). The backdrop, meanwhile, is painted with a red mockingjay, a symbol of the people's rebellion against the Capitol.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" premieres on Nov. 20, 2015.
Check out the full synopsis for the film below:
"With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) - Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games."
Meanwhile, Kdramastars has previously reported that Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) would want to have another movie.
"I loved that Katniss and Gale have such a rich history, which we've never been able to fully, fully explore to the extent we do in this film," Lawrence said, via Venture Capital Post.
Given a chance to do more "The Hunger Games" movie, Jennifer Lawrence suggested that the film should focus on her relationship with Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
"Up until now it's always more about Katniss and Peeta. But there are so many complexities to Katniss and Gale and that relationship because before Katniss went into the Games, Gale was the only person who really understood her and knew her because they grew up together," she said.
