WWE 2K16 First Six Superstars Revealed; Which WWE And NXT Superstars Landed On The Roster?
WWE fans rejoice! A list of half-dozen superstars and divas slated to appear in WWE 2K16 has been released during E3 in Los Angeles.
The first six names officially announced for WWE 2K16 have been revealed during this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. WWE and game publisher 2K made the announcement for the game slated to come out in October.
It was previously reported that the game will have the largest roster of any WWE game, and will strike a perfect balance between modern-day superstars, legends, divas along with members of the NXT brand.
The six characters confirmed for WWE 2K16 are:
Seth Rollins
Daniel Bryan
Dean Ambrose
Bad News Barrett
Paige
Finn Bálor
Character art for each superstar was revealed on WWE official website, however, reports on International Business Times noted that these shots do not officially confirm the character's getup for the game, unlike the case with most WWE games.
One of the most popular superstars in NXT, Finn Balor is a notable standout. Balor even managed to be featured on Nerdist. This basically is an indication of NXT having a bigger presence in WWE 2K16 as Balor turned out to be one of the first characters to be announced for the game.
Regretfully, there's no word on the Stone Cold mode that Jerry "The King" Lawler mentioned during an interview last month. According to Lawler, he and Jim Ross recorded commentary especially for the unannounced Stone Cold Steve Austin content, implying that the "Texas Rattlesnake" will definitely make an appearance in the game in some capacity, iDigitalTimes noted.
No updates regarding the handful of WWE and NXT superstars who have previously declared to be a part of the WWE 2K16 roster. That being said, some like the reigning NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks seems like an obvious choice for the game.
WWE noted that the identities of other superstars and divas slated to participate in WWE 2K16 will be unveiled in the weeks ahead of WWE 2K16's release this fall on PS4, and Xbox One as well as PS3 and Xbox 360.
WWE 2K16 is scheduled to arrive in stores on Oct. 27, 2015 in North America. The highly-anticipated video game will release internationally on Oct. 30, 2015.
