God of The Workplace: Not Just Another Day In The Office

Starting next week, Mondays at the office could be a lot of fun. Well, that is if the office you are visiting is the one in "God of the Workplace."

The KBS2 romantic comedy, which starts on April 1, features Kim Hye Soo as Ms. Kim, a temp with a surprisingly diverse set of skills and a talent for problem solving. She is such a perfect employee that she earns the admiration of her coworkers and intimidates her bosses. Unfortunately, her talents also lead to run-ins with a short-tempered permanent employee Jang Kyu Jik, played by Oh Ji Ho.

The fact that these two clash about everything means that, given Kdrama logic, they will probably wind up falling in love but there's no need to jump ahead of the storyline. First, they must find a way to work together.

The new comedy is based on a Japanese drama known as "Pride of the Temp." It has been adapted for Korean television by writer Yoon Ji Hee, who is responsible for the charmingly funny "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" and the quirky "The Great Gye Choon Bin."

Actor Oh Ji Ho has been quoted as saying that there are "lot of good vibes on the film set that points to the production being a huge success."

Also appearing in the comedy is Lee Hee Joon as Moo Jung Han, Jang Kyu Jik's level-headed friend and coworker. Jung Yoo Mi is a new employee, Jung Joo Ri, who falls in love with the boss. Jeon Hye Bin plays Geum Bit Na, whose stellar education and resume gets her hired as a regular employee. To further complicate things and create a possible romantic triangle, she is the ex-girlfriend of Oh Ji Ho.

Kpop fans, especially IAM fans, will also be pleased to know that 2AM's Jo Kwon will appear in the comedy as the polite Kye Kyung Woo.

Jeon Chang Geun, responsible for "Revenge," "Our Women" and "My Precious You," will direct the show and possibly shape the way we see workplace conflict and romance from now on.
