"A Hundred Year's Inheritance" A New Record for Drastic Measures, "What Next?"

The popularity of the MBC weekend drama "A Hundred Year's Inheritance" is increasing more and more each episode. The viewing rate rose above 20% for the episode that aired on March 23.

The drama "A Hundred Year's Inheritance" features a story surrounding the troubles between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, as well as problems within a marriage. Nothing goes smoothly in this drama with overly dramatic schemes and situations. The characters in this drama have all been described as "not on their right minds" while the drama itself is now referred to as the drama with the most drastic measures.

"A Hundred Year's Inheritance" features actors Eugene, Park Won Sook, Choi Won Young and Lee Jung Jin to portray dynamic characters in the story line. The title of the drama is from the part of the story where Eugene's family is on a race to win the $10 million inheritance.

Blinded by the inheritance, the family members do anything and everything. This part however, is not far from reality. Who wouldn't be tempted by $10 million?

The root of the problem is Park Won Sook and Choi Won Young household. Kim Cheol Kyu's (Choi Won Young) little sister Kim Joo Ri (Yoon Ah Jung) begins to create a plan to destroy the relationship of Min Chae Won (Eugene) and Lee Se Yoon (Lee Jung Jin). Kim Joo Ri has been crushing on Lee Se Yoon for several years and becomes furiously jealous when she sees her ex-sister-in-law getting closer to Lee Se Yoon.

One night when Kim Joo Ri drinks too much while in the presence of Lee Se Yoon, she refers to her mother Bang Young Ja (Park Won Sook) as "murderer" and "someone who committed a frightening crime". When Lee Se Yoon drops her off at home that night, he realizes that Kim Joo Ri's mother is Bang Young Ja and she is also Min Chae Won's ex-mother-in-law.

Bang Young Ja forces her son Kim Cheol Kyu to marry Ma Hong Joo (Shim Yi Young), who is a daughter of a major conglomerate company's CEO. Although Bang Young Ja believed her to be as easy to control as Min Chae Won, Ma Hong Joo is far ahead of her. When things don't go as she planned, Bang Young Ja says, "She is not on her right mind."

Viewers responded to Shim Yi Young's appearance with comments like, "After Shim Yi Young appeared, I feel relieved of all the stress I was receiving from all the plots against Eugene" and "This is the first drama that features the process of suffering and revenge so quickly and so drastically."
