Selena Gomez reportedly lost a whopping 20 pound in just three weeks! Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend took the hate comments to heart and decided to go on a strict diet and hire a personal trainer.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the "I Want You To Know" singer lost a ton of weight in less than a month. Last April, Selena Gomez surprised everyone when photos of her in an unflattering bikini surfaced online. The outlet reported that netizens were not too happy with the star's weight gain and they were not shy to tell her about it.

The singer-actress defended her figure and said that she is happy with her body. She added that she would not let her detractors get the better of her.

"I would deactivate every single comment on any social media," she said.

"I think that you should have an email where you can send in questions but you should be able to post what you want, say what you want, be what you want without anybody judging you or making you feel like your self-value is from an Instagram post or from people liking your post. People get so affected by that and I would change that."

Selena may have tried to shrug off the haters but it seems like she was still affected by the criticism. It was said that the singer desperately tried to do everything to get in a better shape as fast as possible.

"Selena has given herself a thin-ervention," an insider told Life & Style magazine, via CDL.

"She is doing cardio twice a day and she has cut out all food deliveries to her house. She is so committed that the weight has just been falling off. No more burgers, fries, and shakes. Now it is just fresh fruit, greens, and fish."
