Oppo Unveils Mirror 5s With Android 5.1 Lollipop, 4G LTE Connectivity And More!
Oppo has unveiled its sleek new smartphone, the Oppo Mirror 5s featuring an eye-catching crystal patterned back and an array of awe-inspiring features.
Oppo officially announced Oppo Mirror 5s smartphone in Taiwan last week. However, there is no official word about the availability and price of the Oppo Mirror 5s for the Taiwanese market.
The Chinese smartphone maker is also yet to announce global availability plans for the Oppo Mirror 5s. The company Taiwan's official account confirmed the news via a Facebook post.
The new Oppo smartphone features 4G LTE connectivity, supported by both SIMs card slots. The Oppo Mirror 5s is a Dual-SIM based smartphone and it supports one Micro-SIM card and the other Nano-SIM. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Color OS 2.1 on top, according to records on NDTV Gadgets.
Oppo Mirror 5s sports a 5-inch HD TFT display with a 1280x720 resolution.
The company underlines the fact that the smartphone is capable of supporting gloved and wet touch input. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU, and 2GB of RAM, The Times of India noted.
In terms of storage, the Oppo Mirror 5s comes with 16GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
In addition, it sports an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device also features scene detection, Panaroma, geo-tagging, double exposure, smile shot, and HDR options. As far as connectivity options are concerned, the Oppo Mirror 5s includes 35, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio apart from LTE.
The device features a 2420mAh non-removable battery and will be available in White color. The Oppo Mirror 5s features ambient light sensor, g-sensor, and magnetometer. The smartphone measures 143.4x71.2x7.65mm and weighs 160 grams.
But that's not all; the smartphone comes preloaded with Smart Remote Control app that Oppo claims is compatible with common household appliances.
