Mariah Carey and James Packer reportedly called it quits only after months of dating. After going on a romantic Mediterranean cruise, the couple are allegedly ignoring each other for three weeks.

According to Daily Mail, the couple has not been visible lately following their latest trip. Some speculate that Carey and Packer have broken up.

A source close to the couple said that the trip is very important for the two because it would give them the chance to get to know each other better. It was said that the trip will help the "Without You" singer realize if what she's feeling for her new beau is real.

"This trip is a chance for her to really get to know him. She hasn't 100 percent let him in yet," the source said.

According to TMZ, Packer has been "aggressively" pursuing the singer. The insider said that the businessman is "obsessed" with her music ever since he met her at a concert in Las Vegas in April.

"It's very different than when Nick Cannon was wooing her. To her, Nick Cannon was a boy. James is a man."

It seems, however, that the couple are taking a break from their relationship. Carey took some time off to pursue her lucrative Las Vegas residency while Packer is also busy with several business negotiations. They were last spotted over the Fourth of July weekend.

Before their relationship allegedly turned sour, Mariah Carey and James Packer were reportedly talking about getting married. The diva was even willing to relocate across the world just to be with him. An insider, however, refuted the rumors and claim that Carey was not ready to have another relationship after Nick Cannon.

"They are not talking marriage. That's ridiculous. She's enjoying his company, but she's also trying to remain cautious," the source said.
