"You're the Best Lee Soon Shin" IU's two mothers will both become bad mothers.
April 28, the 16th episode of the KBS weekend drama "You're the Best Lee Soon Shin" featured Kim Jung Ae (Go Doo Shim) and Song Mi Ryung (Lee Mi Sook) beginning an emotional war.
Previously when Kim Jung Ae discovered that Lee Soon Shin (IU)'s biological mother is Song Mi Ryung, she falls into a state of shock. As a result, Kim Jung Ae strongly opposes Lee Soon Shin's wishes to take acting lessons from Kim Jung Ae.
Kim Jung Ae had also gone to see Song Mi Ryung to tell her that she will not allow Lee Soon Shin to act. Song Mi Ryung becomes more motivated to make Lee Soon Shin's debut after the conversation because she feels that Kim Jung Ae was looking down at her. Song Mi Ryung decides to rush Lee Soon Shin's debut.
However, Song Mi Ryung's attitude changes completely after learning that Lee Soon Shin is Lee Chang Hoon's (Jung Dong Hwan) youngest daughter. Song Mi Ryung and Lee Chang Hoon had been lovers. Lee Chang Hoon was hit by a car while saving her life. In order to continue her life as an actress, Song Mi Ryung had lied about the accident.
As a result, Song Mi Ryung makes sure that Lee Soon Shin cannot audition for a drama and tries to push her far away from her. This was Song Mi Ryung's way of trying to avoid her feelings of guilt in Lee Chang Hoon's death.
This was the moment of birth for the bad mother Song Mi Ryung. Even though she does not know that Lee Soon Shin is her biological daughter yet, she was still the same woman who deserted her own child.
One problem is that Kim Jung Ae is turning into a bad mother as well. She used to be a kind, sacrificing, loving mother who was willing to give anything. Kim Jung Ae began turning into a bad mother after finding out the truth about Lee Soon Shin's biological mother.
Kim Jung Ae becomes this way after feeling betrayed by her husband. Rather than the fact that Lee Soon Shin is Song Mi Ryung's daughter, Kim Jung Ae is more bothered by the fact that Lee Soon Shin is a lovechild of somebody who had an affair with her husband.
Within a matter of seconds, Lee Soon Shin was no longer the same child to her. To her, Lee Soon Shin was just another person who made a complete fool of Kim Jung Ae. Will she be able to forget about the past and accept Lee Soon Shin into her household again as her daughter?
