"You're the Best Lee Soon Shin" Jo Junk Suk awed by IU's angelic beauty after her makeover.
April 4, the 17th episode of the KBS drama "You're the Best Lee Soon Shin" featured Lee Soon Shin (IU) getting a makeover and turning into an angelic doll. When Shin Joon Ho (Jo Jung Suk) sees her, he is unable to hide the shock on his face.
Lee Soon Shin's mother Kim Jung Ae (Go Doo Shim) visits Shin Joon Ho and requests him to break the contract with Lee Soon Shin. Kim Jung Ae says, "I don't want my daughter to get hurt any more." When Shin Joon Ho believes that she is acting this way because Song Mi Ryung (Lee Mi Sook) refused to continue giving Lee Soon Shin acting lessons, he tells Kim Jung Ae, "I'm just as angry as you are. I'll make sure you see Lee Soon Shin's debut within one month."
In order to keep his promise with Lee Soon Shin's mother, he begins to speed up his project to turn her into a superstar. Shin Joon Ho tells his employees, "Lee Soon Shin's image will be innocent-first-love-girl" and orders them to transform her into what he just described. From her looks to her attitude, they begin to modify Lee Soon Shin.
Shin Joon Ho takes the best people in the industry to see Lee Soon Shin at the restaurant where she works. The makeup artist and the other stylists take a look at Lee Soon Shin and say, "I think it will be possible to create the look you were talking about" to Shin Joon Ho. They whisk her away to begin her transformation. After a long time, Lee Soon Shin appears wearing a pure white dress with long waves in her hair.
Kim Young Hoon (Lee Ji Hoon) exclaims, "Is it really Soon Shin?" Shin Joon Ho is also shocked and is unable to say anything for a very long time. However, Shin Joon Ho wakes himself up fro the shock and says, "Look at your walk. And what kind of laugh is that?" and criticizes her.
Shin Joon Ho continues, "From now on you have to be careful about what you eat and what you wear. Don't foget 'I want to be protected'! What people want is fantasy. This is part of acting." Even though Shin Joon Ho continued to nag her, he was looking at Lee Soon Shin with a different look in his eyes.
Meanwhile, this episode also featured Song Mi Ryung trying to interfere with Lee Soon Shin's career without even realizing that she is her biological daughter.
