Kdrama Kisses: Part Two

Tags

Kdrama kisses is a subject we already covered in a previous article, "Kdrama Kisses: What's Not To Love?" In that story we mentioned some favorite kdrama kisses that take place in "Personal Taste," "Queen Inhyun's Man," "Coffee Prince" and "Flower Boy Ramen Shop." But kdrama fans really like their kisses. And as there are so many good ones, we figured it was time to add a few more to the favorites list. But be warned. It's best not to read this article when you are really hungry, as the following four kisses feature food:

The "Cotton Candy Kiss" in "That Winter, The Wind Blows." Even though Jo In Sung recently admitted to being embarrassed while filming this almost-kiss, it's obviously a favorite among viewers. It's considered a kiss even though he and Song Hye Kyo never actually touch lips but instead both eat from the same cotton candy. It is so popular that it has been parodied a few times. Those spoofing it included 2NE1's Sandara Park, ZE:A's Bang Hyung Sik and Kim Dong Jun, miss A's Min and BTOB's Min Hyuk, the comedic duo Cultwo and the rookie group Offroad.

While we are on the subject of sugary kisses, you can't ignore the "Coca Cola Kiss" that Ah Jeong, played by Yoon Eun Hye, and Gi Joon, played by Kang Ji Hwan, exchange in "Lie To Me." Their first kiss takes place in Gi Joon's house. Ah Jeong shakes up a bottle of coke that drenches both of them and he teasingly kisses her. Sticky but sweet.

On the subject of food kisses, there's also the "Spaghetti Kiss" in "Queen Inhyun's Man." Yoo In Na as Choi Hee Jin is teaching Ji Hyun Woo, as Gim Bong Du, how to properly eat pasta. He needs a lesson because he is from another century in which Italian pasta dishes were not so commonly eaten in Korea. They share a strand and meet in the middle. It's much like the spaghetti scene in the Disney cartoon, "Lady and the Tramp."

The foam kiss in "Secret Garden" is a classic. It's hard to drink a cappuccino or any coffee drink without remembering the way Hyun Bin kissed the coffee foam from Ha Jin Won's upper lip. He accuses her of leaving the foam there on purpose so he will have to remove it. Gdragon and TOP have also hilariously parodied that kissing scene. Gdragon plays Ha Ji Won's part and TOP plays Hyun Bin's part. That's not a bad kiss either although it technically does not qualify as kdrama.

We could probably do a few more articles on the best kdrama kisses. Do you have any more suggestions? Did we miss your favorites? Let us know.
