While it was not a scene like the romantic conclusion of "Pinocchio," Joo Won and Kim Tae Hee secured their on-screen marriage in episode 13 of "Yong Pal."

Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) raced to the mock funeral of Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) to display documentation of their registered marriage. Contrary to episode 12, where it appeared as though he was apprehended by the authorities, he arrived in time to rescue Yeo Jin from the clutches of her scheming half-brother, Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae).

As her husband and guardian, he established that she was mentally competent to ascend to her rightful place as the chairwoman of the Han conglomerate. This plot device marked a turning point for the seemingly weak Yeo Jin, who remains analogous to sleeping beauty.

Tae Hyun and Yeo Jin attempted to bond in their unconventional marriage, which was essentially launched as a union of convenience, even though they do share a budding romance. Their nuptials seemed a bit sudden but followed a proposal from Yeo Jin, where she laid out the cards for their future.

There are no bed scenes during the episode, but there are sweet snippets like their moment of domestic bliss in their large kitchen.

The episode does not refrain from showing the stark contrast between the life that Tae Hyun is fleeing, one where he worked within dangerous warehouses on wounded gang members, to the vast halls of the mansion where he now resides with Yeo Jin.

"Yong Pal" remained true to its somewhat realistic portrayal of disability and coma, with Yeo Jin continuing to use a wheelchair.

While many Korean dramas would have had her walking without assistance, the writers of the series impart realism, showing that someone who was in a comatose state for years would need rehabilitation for simple tasks.

In continuation of its realistic approach, episode 13 concluded with the notion that Yeo Jin could have been responsible for the death of Tae Hyun's mother, hinting at future problems for the new couple.
