The "Our Beloved Summer" actor began his career as a musical actor before making his debut in television. Kim Sung Cheol starred in musicals like "Romeo and Juliet," "Mr. Mouse" and "Big Fish," to name a few.
This year, Kim Sung Cheol returns to the stage with the upcoming musical adaptation of the popular Japanese manga "Death Note."
It follows the thrilling life of a student who comes across an enchanting notebook that possesses great power. If the owner writes someone's name into it while vividly picturing their face, they will die.
The drama stars Kim Sung Cheol as L, an enigmatically weird consulting detective who has a pivotal role in the play. Junsu, who recently starred in the musical "Xcalibur," reprises his role as L.
Hong Kwang Ho and Ko Eun Sung take on the role of Light Yagami, the high school student who discovers the powers of Death Note. Kim Sun Yeung and Jang Eun Ah play Rem, while Kang Hong Suk and Seo Kyung Soo will play Ryuk.

Actress-model Amane Misa will be played by former Lovelyz member Kei and Jang Min Jae. Soichiri Yagami and Sayu Yagami will be played by Seo Bum Seok and Ryu In Ah, respectively.
Seo Man Seok, Lee Ho Jin, Maeng Won Tae, Choi Won Jong, and Jeong Hoe Yoon are also part of the ensemble.
The production unit of the musical stated that "Death Note" will be presented as authentic as they can, giving a non-replica version of the original Japanese manga. From its musical score to its wardrobe and stage artworks, the musical will show off different vibes that everyone can enjoy.
"Death Note" is produced by OD Company, and it will run from April 1 to June 26 at the Chungmu Art Center.

While gearing up for the first run of his upcoming musical, Kim Sung Cheol is currently starring as a producing director in the buzzworthy drama "Our Beloved Summer" with Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Sik.
The drama stars Kim Sung Cheol as Kim Ji Woong, a workaholic documentary producing director who suffers from severe loneliness due to an unrequited love, and abandonment issues because of his mother.
