‘Destined With You’ Episode 5: Ha Joon Discovers Rowoon & Jo Bo Ah’s Complicated Relationship
Kwon Jae Kyung (Ha Joon) was shocked after he found out about Jang Shin Yu (Rowoon) and Lee Hong Jo's (Jo Bo Ah) complicated relationship in "Destined With You" episode 5.
'Destined With You' Episode 5: Lee Hong Jo & Jang Shin Yu Go Against Their Destinies
Jang Shin Yu respectfully joined Lee Hong Jo in commemorating her father's memorial. After their short meal, they went back to the beach where Hong Jo was already drunk and began talking to her father.

However, she ended up bickering with Shin Yu due to the love spell.
According to the story, their destinies cannot be severed, and they need to accept it. They decides to go against their destinies, and they don't have an interest in each other.
While they travel back to Seoul, Hong Jo lies on Shin Yu's shoulder and begins talking unconsciously.
The next day at the office, Hong Jo received a complaint stating that Mount Onju was covered in blood. Along with her officemates, they went to the mountain to fix it.
Later on, Jang Shin Yu called Hong Jo to his office to irritate her again.
After she left, he remembered Na Yeon's (Yura) proposal. He felt sad at the thought he was in love with Hong Jo, while also engaged to Na Yeon.
Jang Shin Yu Hallucinates Seeing Lee Hong Jo
The two went on a date, and while on his phone, Jang Shin Yu found a woman who looked like Lee Hong Jo and followed her. Unfortunately, the lady disappeared.
To confirm, he visited Hong Jo's place and asked her whereabouts. She stated that she went to see the Shaman. The next thing Hong Jo knew, she was hurt by the lawyer's words saying why he would fall for her when he had a girlfriend who people loved due to her beauty.
Hong Jo then remembered how Na Yeon bullied her back in school. She wondered how Shin Yu liked her.

The next day, Jang Shin Yu nagged at Lee Hong Jo while having lunch. The lawyer then got curious about her destiny on the first floor. After her work, she went to buy plants for the yard as a housewarming gift to Ha Joon. He tried to help but she refused so he just invited her for dinner.

The two had a nice conversation and Hong Jo felt enthusiastic about the adrenaline rush she had while spending time with her crush. However, their convo was interrupted when Jang Shin Yu called her.
The lawyer found out that Hong Jo was with a man and enjoying beer, making him jealous.
In the following days, while he's with his friend, Jang Shin Yu, who never drinks due to his disease, he gets drunk to forget Hong Jo and the spell.
Unconsciously, he went to her home.

While talking outside, Kwon Jae Kyung appeared and saw Jang Shin Yu holding Hong Jo's hand. He asked him to leave as it is not appropriate to visit a woman's place at night while drunk.
Shin Yu learned that Jae Kyung was the one living on the first floor, remembering what Hong Jo said that her destiny was him.
Jang Shin Yu said he has no feelings for Hong Jo, but she is responsible for how he is feeling. Jae Kyung finds it hard to understand and offers to drive him home. However, Hong Jo clarified that it was her fault and needed to take Shin Yu home.
They went to a park for Shin Yu to relax after feeling drunk. Hong Jo then proposed meeting him again on the 19th so they could try to cast another spell and get rid of the love spell in him. Hong Jo then started to blush when Shin Yu said he had found his drunk habit, which is to kiss someone near him.
