Oh Jung Se's Vehicle Crashes Into Cultivator

Multiple media outlets reported on October 19 that a van with actor Oh Jung Se on board crashed into a cultivator, causing two casualties.

Chungnam Fire Department released a statement about the incident. According to them, a van driving on the second lane of a village in Bu-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, hit a leading cultivator at 6:30 p.m. on October 18.

It has been said that police were immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from an accident witness.

Afterward, the authorities from the fire department transferred "A," in his 60s, a cultivator driver who was in cardiac arrest at the scene, to a hospital, but he died.

His wife "B" who was on the cultivator with him, was also seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

Oh Jung Se's Manager Gives Statement

In addition, the van driver "C" was also slightly injured and transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment.

In particular, "C" is Oh Jung Se's manager and the actor was also in the vehicle when the accident happened.

The "Revenant" actor was shocked by the vehicle accident but was discharged from the hospital after undergoing examinations due to minor bruises.

According to "C's" statement to the police investigation, the cultivator suddenly appeared and could not avoid it.

Meanwhile, the police confirmed that "C" was not drunk at the time of the accident, and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, including speeding, through speed analysis.

Furthermore, Oh Jung Se's agency has not yet released any statement regarding the news.

Oh Jung Se just finished his back-to-back projects "Revenant" and "Cobweb," which became hits in both primetime and box office.

The award-winning actor will return to the small screen with the fantasy-romance series "When the Stars Gossip" where he will share the frame with Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin. He is also confirmed to star in TVING's star-studded drama "Death's Game" starring Seo In Guk and Park So Dam.

Lastly, Oh Jung Se returns to Netflix with "Mr. Plankton," a romance-comedy drama about the story of people who can't connect with anyone, just like plankton.

Joining him in the series are Woo Do Hwan, Lee Yoo Mi, and Kim Hae Sook, the project is tentatively for release sometime in 2024.
