'The Escape of the Seven' Episode 9 Recap

The twists and turns started to unravel in "The Escape of the Seven" episode 9 as the show continues with the death of Chairman Bang, who chose to die beside the remains of his granddaughter.

Devastated by the sudden death, Matthew Lee promised to continue their plan and avenge both his daughter, Bang Da Mi, and the chairman who showed him trust to execute their plan.

Matthew Lee, along with Min Do Hyuk and Kang Ki Tak, figured out that the seven were not really their enemies but "K," whose real name is Sim Jun Seok, the sole heir of the top company, Sungchan Group.

It was revealed that he was the baby daddy of Han Mo Ne's child, and in order to protect his name, he killed Bang Da Mi, who held Mo Ne's secret.

After K learned that Chairman Bang was planning his revenge, through Matthew Lee, he set up a bomb and placed Da Mi's remains near it.

Matthew Lee also knew that K knew his secret, his real identity.

Despite knowing how brutal and psychopath he was, Matthew Lee continued their plan with the help of Ki Tak and Min Do Hyuk.

In one of his get-togethers with the "seven," and to commemorate his partnership with Gium Ra Hee, he forced the group to reveal their secret after showing clips on the island.

Confessing about their crimes, they mentioned how they got connected, and that was because of Bang Da Mi's disappearance.

At this point, the "seven" thought that Matthew Lee was one of their allies, but this was his plan to get to meet K and finish him.
