On December 12, tvN released the very first teaser for Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung's newest series "Captivating The King."
It's a cruel love story between a miserable ruler who has an empty heart despite his high position and a woman who falls in love while executing her revenge against him.
Jo Jung Suk takes on the role of King Yi In while Shin Se Kyung plays Kang Hee Soo. The two work together for the first time, following the successes of their dramas "Hospital Playlist" and "Arthdal Chronicles 2."
The teaser video captures Kang Yi In and Kang Hee Soo's attraction as they engage in a game of go. They skillfully vie for victory, carefully placing black and white stones on the board.
Excitement is doubled among the fans as the teaser evokes various emotions experienced by King Yi In and Kang Hee Soo through time, including their first meeting when Kang Hee Soo played with him while disguised as a man named Kang Mong Woo.
As time passes by, the tension between them reveals their honest feelings, hinting at the transformation in their relationship from being go players to becoming targets of revenge.
