Son Ye Jin Talks About Her Life as Working Mom + Reveals Her Guilty Pleasure

Son Ye Jin dished on how she balances life as a mother and as a celebrity. 

After getting married to Hyun Bin and welcoming their first child, the South Korean superstar talked about her new routine as a wife, mother, and career woman. 

Son Ye Jin Shares 'Me Time,' Balancing Career & Motherhood

The mother-of-one flew from South Korea to Taiwan for a brand event and revealed that she was excited to visit the country for the first time. 

In an interview with the China Times, she talked about the things that she is excited about and looking forward to in the future. Among these are the cultures and cuisines of Taiwan.

As mentioned in a report, Son Ye Jin was thrilled to try out the local cuisine, especially the very famous xiaolongbao.

"On the way here, I think the street scene is very similar to that of Seoul, and there is a sense of closeness."

Speaking of things that she enjoys, the "Crash Landing on You" star also talked about her guilty pleasure now that she's the mom of a toddler. 

According to the actress, she makes sure to find extra time for self-care, and one way to do this is by watching dramas. 

"I have almost no time for myself now. Because I have formed a new family, I spend almost all my time with my family. In addition to skincare time, I can only watch dramas when my child sleeps or naps."

The actress added that having alone time with herself is a "very important" part of her day. 

Son Ye Jin Wants to Portray More Mother Roles in the Future

Following her brief hiatus after giving birth, Son Ye Jin is back with a jam-packed schedule, including brand endorsements, photoshoots, and more. 

Although her last K-drama appearance was the romance series "Thirty Nine" with Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun, the top star hinted at her dream role. 

Son Ye Jin said she wants to portray the character of a loving mother in her next work.

"I want to express my experience as her mother through acting."

Viewers will definitely look forward to seeing more of Son Ye Jin in the future and, at the same time, be excited to see her in challenging roles that will showcase her versatility as an actress. 

In March 2022, "Crash Landing on You" stars Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin officially got married. 

The fairytale wedding was attended by star-studded guests including Gong Hyo Jin, Gong Yoo, Jung Hae In, Ha Ji Won, Song Yoon Ah, Jeon Mi Do, Hwang Jung Min, and more. 

In the same year, the actress gave birth to their son Alkong in November.
