The sudden cancellation of a highly anticipated musical performance featuring popular actor Park Jung Min has made many people frustrated. The decision was made just five minutes before the show was set to begin.

On February 10, the people in charge of the musical "Life of Pi" suddenly called off the 7:30 p.m. show, leaving people who had already arrived at the venue confused and angry. Because Park Jung Min was in it, the show got a lot of attention and drew people from all over the country.
Koreaboo says that the production team put out an official statement soon after the show was canceled. In a statement, the team attributed the situation to unexpected technical problems.
In an official notice, the production team said,"A sudden technical issue with lighting equipment occurred before the 7:30 PM performance. Although we tried to fix it, it was determined that continuing the show would be difficult, so we had no choice but to cancel it."

The team later explained why they made the decision in more detail and apologized to those who were there. In a follow-up message, the production team said,"During the final inspection, the lighting failed due to an unknown issue. For safety reasons, we have decided to cancel it. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to the audience who took the time to come watch."
People who bought tickets were also told that they would get their money back one at a time by text message. Even though the speaker explained and apologized, audience members were still unhappy.
Koreaboo said that the announcement of a full refund, which some people called a "110% refund" notice, did not help the situation. Many people who came had to travel a long way or take time off work to see the show, which made them even more upset.
One person in the audience said they were unhappy with how the situation was handled. Audience member A said, "They were so strict when it came to booking and posting refund policies, but when they caused a problem, they said they couldn't offer anything other than a 100% refund."
People quickly reacted online. Theqoo says that people online were upset about the cancellation's timing and whether the audience's time and money were respected.
Users wrote in several forum posts, "They were so strict when it came to booking and posting refund policies, but when they caused a problem, they said they couldn't offer anything other than a 100% refund."
Other comments included,"Five minutes before? Are you kidding me?" and "Feel bad for the actor whose name is featured for this show."
Others asked for more money, saying things like, "They need to refund at least 30% more..." and "If it's five minutes before, everyone would've already arrived...they need to refund 200% back."
As more and more people criticize the cancellation online, it has sparked a bigger conversation about protecting consumers, the responsibilities of event managers, and how last-minute decisions affect both audiences and performers.
