Many people adore Melissa McCarthy and we may finally see the bubbly actress in "Ghostbusters 3". Paul Feig confirmed that he will be directing the reboot and that it will star hilarious women. The 44-year old actress has definitely proven that she's the queen of comedies having starred in "The Heat" alongside Sandra Bullock and "Tammy" together with Susan Sarandon.

Melissa McCarthy has worked with Paul Feig in "Bridesmaids" and two more films before so it won't be surprising if she would be included in his list. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the 44-year old actress is in early talks to star in the female-focused remake of Ivan Reitman's classic comedy.

However, there could be a few hurdles that the actress may face if she accepts a role in "Ghostbusters 3". According to the website, McCarthy has a busy schedule because of her TV series "Mike & Molly", which airs on CBS and her upcoming films.

She is already in the pre-production of "Spy" and is currently working on "B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations". Her next project is "Michelle Darnell" which will be directed by her husband Ben Falcone. The comedy will be released on April 8, 2016.

Sources revealed that there is a chance for them to work out the schedule because "Michelle Darnell" will be filmed in mid-March whereas "Ghostbusters 3" will start shooting in June. However, there could be creative meetings happening which could make it difficult for the actress to attend to.

Apart from casting Melissa McCarthy for the reboot, there were also reports that the original cast of the 1984 film will appear in it. The website reported that Billy Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson could make a cameo in the new movie. It will be really awesome if we see the real ghostbusters in the remake.

Another actress who is reportedly in negotiations to appear in the "Ghostbusters 3" is Rebel Wilson, who gained fame for her role in "Pitch Perfect". The Aussie actress told Today that she had met up with Paul Feig. Wilson said, "Look, I have had a meeting, but who knows?" She added, "They have to look at the script when it's finished."
