On October 5th, 2015, Tom Hanks recovered a student's ID card in Central Park. It belonged to Lauren from Fordham University and had lost her ID card while jogging in Central Park on Monday. The famous Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks posted a tweet to Fordham University student Laure Whitmore. He covered the girl's last name with his finger in the photo and posted the tweet on October 7th said usnews.com

Laure stated that she doesn't own a twitter account and her professor sent her the twitter link and coined that she was famous from then onwards. She was happy to see the note and said that she would be happy to meet him, reported usnews.com

Recently, Kerman High schools students celebrated Tom Hank's homecoming ceremony by launching a campaign, where the town featured a parade with a toy story for the juniors. Kerman High schools junior, Sarahi Nunez said that, the school felt proud and they had high expectations that Tom Hanks would show up at the homecoming. Hanks replied after two weeks, "Are you serious?"said Today.

The waiting ended in dismay, as he replied that he will not be able to attend the homecoming event and proclaimed that his regards will replace his presence with a small 7-minute video.
