Kim Ha Neul Will Wed In March
On September 25 Kim Ha Neul's agency SM C&C confirmed that she was in a relationship. The agency revealed that she had been dating a non-celebrity for the past two years. The agency stated that although the couple's relationship was serious, they had no immediate plans to marry.
Things have apparently changed in the past month. Plans are now in motion. On October 23, the actress' agency announced her intention to marry in the spring.
"Kim Ha Neul will marry in March of 2016. Please give a lot of congratulations and warm interest to Kim Ha Neul, who has found her partner."
Some Korean media outlets have reported the date as March 19.
Kim's fiance is said to be a successful businessman and a member of a wealthy family. He is reported to be tall, handsome and very attentive to Kim and the members of her family. He is a year younger than the actress, who is 37.
According to a recent report in the media outlet Korea Times, the actress is busy selecting a wedding gown and venue. She is expected to hold the event at a luxury hotel.
Kim debuted as a model and had her first acting role in the 1998 film "Bye June." She is best known for her roles in the films "My Tutor Friend," "Too Beautiful To Lie" and "My Girlfriend Is An Agent," which was the fourth top-grossing film of 2009. She also appeared in several dramas, including "On Air," "Romance' and most recently "A Gentleman's Dignity." In "A Gentleman's Dignity" she played Seo Yi Soo, a teacher in search of true love.
Kim was once named "The Queen of Rom Coms" and she admits she loves the genre.
"It's harder than you may think to act in a romantic comedy, but I think I keep taking it up because it feels so great," she said in an enewsworld interview about her role in "A Gentleman's Dignity."
This year she appears in the Kickstarter funded indie film "Don't Forget Me" with co-star Jung Woo Sung," a Chinese romantic comedy titled "Making Family" with Aarif Rahman, and "Female Professor" with Yoo In Young, Lee Won Geun and Lee Ki Woo.
