Neal H. Moritz, the producer of "Fast & Furious" opened up about "Fast & Furious" 8 casting in a recent interview.

The movie "Fast & Furious" was inseparable from its popular actor, Paul Walker. Walker died after a friend drove his Porsche off the road presumably from a defect in the luxury car. The "Fast & Furious" actor was stuck in the passenger's seat while the car burned. His daughter has filed a lawsuit against Porsche, claiming "wrongful death," while the police and Porsche explained the accident was due to speeding. Now, Walker's role has been dismissed, while the movie crew is on the look-out for an appropriate replacement.

Moritz said that they are working on the movie from the respective character's point of view figuring out how to take the script forward just like ever before. He also noted that incredible action in the movie is the remarkable feature that makes "Fast & Furious" a unique flick.

"We're trying to do what we always do, which is try to come at it from a character point of view and figure out where the characters would go from here," said Moritz, according to KPop Starz.

"I think the thing that's made The Fast and the Furious special is obviously we have incredible action and so on," the producer added.

UFC Women's Straw weight Champion Joana Jedrzejczyk will reportedly debut in the last flick of the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Other 'Fast & Furious' 8 casts as of now include Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham.

It is also rumored that Paul Walker's brother Cody Walker will play Brian O'Connor in the flick formerly played by Paul Walker in first 7 series of the franchise. Rodriguez who plays Letty in the movie noted that Paul Walker's wish the concluding trilogy might come without special effects and blue screens, reported Reality Today.

"But the thing that people really relate to the most is the characters. We're lucky that we have a lot of great characters," said Moritz. "Unfortunately, we don't have Paul anymore. His character... has moved on. But we feel like there's a lot still to be mined. That's where we're starting. We're really talking about the characters, where they all sit right now. It's a huge challenge," said Moritz.

With 'Fast & Furious' 8 casting yet to be finalized, the movie is expected to hit the theaters on April 14, 2017.
