Actress Gong Hyo Jin was the recipient of the Asia Beauty Icon honors, during a ceremony held at the Cosmo Beauty Awards.
Her agency, Soop Entertainment, shared details of her appearance at the event. The Korean outlet, MyDaily, also chronicled the prestigious honor, through an article published on November 6.
The "Producer" star attended the event, which was held on November 5, at the Shanghai Art Museum.
"I wonder if beauty is what everyone finds after endlessly working hard," said Gong, in a statement published by MyDaily. "I think true beauty, in this generation, is working hard to find your own unique beauty."
She represented Korean Beauty, as a renown actress whose profile continues to increase due to her roles in hit dramas like "The Greatest Love," "Master's Sun," and "It's Okay, That's Love."
Her portrayal of Tak Ye Jin, a KBS "Music Bank" variety director, in "Producer," continues to receive positive attention from both domestic and international audiences. The role raised her profile with fans of Hallyu star, Kim Soo Hyun, who have helped to bolster the popularity votes for both stars in the 52nd Grand Bell or Daejong Film Awards.
Other Korean stars who were present for the event included Super Junior's Kim Heechul and Lay of EXO. The Chinese award ceremony was also attended by major artists from Taiwanese and mainland Chinese entertainment.
Taiwanese pop star, Show Luo, who is poised to release his first album in three years, "Reality Show?" was present along with popular actress, Angelababy.
Gong Hyo Jin will follow the event by hosting her first Taiwanese fan meeting in December 2015.
According to MyDaily, she recently completed the film, "Missing Child."
