Samsung 'Gifts Of The Season' Promotional Campaign; Get $100 In Google Play Credit For Trading In An iPhone For A Samsung?

It seems Samsung is all geared up to lure customers in the nearing holiday season. The smartphone maker has announced "Gifts of the Season" promotional campaign which sees it giving away freebies of worth hundreds of dollars.

Samsung is offering up to $350 in promotional bundles to U.S. customers who purchase specific smartphones between now and November 22. The Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ are all included in the Samsung "Gifts of the Season" promotion, reported CNET.

The smartphone maker is offering customers a choice of two bundles, and each contains a fast charge portable battery pack and Samsung's wireless charging pad.

The first option, Swarovski crystal jewelry gift bundle, includes a Samsung-branded fast charge portable battery park, wireless charging pad, and Swarovski crystal phone cover. The second option, Level On gift bundle includes the same battery pack and charging pad, but replaces the crystal cover for a pair of Samsung's Level On headphones. Both of the holiday gift bundles are of an estimated value of $349, reported TheVerge.

It is to be noted that in order to claim the freebies, customers will have to pay full retail price of the smartphone they buy and share a copy of the receipt with Samsung.

Samsung also has a separate promotion for anyone who activates Samsung Pay on their device. To get the $50 cash rebate, users will have to activate the company's Samsung Pay mobile payments system on the new phone.

In addition, the smartphone maker is also offering $100 in Google Play credit to anyone who trades in an iPhone for a Samsung phone.

Sprint is also running a Samsung promotion campaign. Sprint is giving away a year of Amazon Prime to buyers of any of those same four flagship devices. The offer is eligible even for those customers who choose to purchase the smartphone without paying the full retail price all at one time.
