Actor Ahn Chang Hyun of South Korea has recently announced that he will retire from the entertainment industry due to his wish to rescue lives by working as a firefighter.

Koreaboo reported that at 30 years of age, the actor made this announcement on June 8 so as to clear things up in person instead of letting rumors fly around about him.
In a message to fans, the actor revealed that the news will probably not receive much attention from people, yet he thinks it is right to let everyone know what lies ahead for him.
In his message, Ahn revealed that his dream is to stop his career as an actor and focus his energies on a different kind of job.

"I am stopping my career as an actor and planning to become a firefighter who rescues and saves lives." said the actor.
Adding that, "It's simply because I want to save people."
Moreover, the actor believes that he knows all the difficulties he may face in order to achieve his goal.
Addressing his determination, Ahn added, "I intend to keep trying until I succeed."
The announcement surprised many fans and online observers, as it is uncommon for actors to voluntarily step away from the entertainment industry during their careers, especially to pursue a profession that involves rigorous training and public service.
Ahn Chang Hyun born in 1995 built a modest but recognizable acting résumé through appearances in television dramas and films. He is known for roles in the dramas "Long-Distance Relationship Trap", "The Kidnapping Day", and "Ms. Incognito," according to The Chosun Daily.
In addition to acting in these dramas, he took part in a South Korean comedy film titled "6/45"; notable for having an unconventional plot revolving around a lottery ticket winner that manages to move across the borders of North and South Korea.
