Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey are two of the most admired pop singers of their age.

Both gained huge prominence in the 90s and continued to enjoy royalty status in the music up until now.

Despite the new music artists entering the entertainment scene, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey managed to keep relevant.

Their hard work and dedication to their craft during the early years of their careers have paid off and made them well-established artists - established enough to compete even with singers of younger age.

There is no doubt that age is just a number for Jennifer Lopez, 46, and Mariah Carey, 45, when it comes to showing fans what they've got.

Both seasoned in the industry, JLo and Mariah may have earned the respect of many as mature music artists who doesn't need to go on Twitter fights with other singers to attract attention and gain prominence.

But do music artists really get past the stage where they have to fight for their places on the spot light?

A new rumor claimed that there might allegedly be bad blood between Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey. Are they competing on who gets to be the best music artist in their age category?

"We're hearing Lopez's manager, Benny Medina, who repped Carey from 2003 to 2008, wanted back in on the singer's career, but Lopez wouldn't allow it," Page Six reported. "A source told us there's a 'No Mariah' clause in Lopez's contract with Medina."

"Lopez has been with Medina since 2008. The powerhouse manager helped revive her career with a judging gig on 'American Idol,'" the report continued.

Despite the rumors, Medina's camp promptly set the record straight about the alleged contract issue.

"Benny is not restricted, contractually or otherwise, from managing Mariah Carey or any other artists," a Medina Co. executive reportedly told Page Six.
