Samsung Group Adds Feather To Its Cap With 38 Innovation Awards From CES 2016

Samsung Group announced on Wednesday it has won prestigious awards from CES 2016.

The Consumer Technology Association, the producer of the International Consumer Electronics Show, recognized the Korean conglomerate with 38 awards, including three Best of Innovation Awards, a post in SamsungTomorrow said.

A pre-eminent panel of engineers, members of the trade media and independent industrial designers judged CES product entries. The CES Innovation Awards is held yearly to to honor outstanding and exemplary engineering and design with cutting-edge products of consumer electronics across 27 categories.

"Samsung continues to deliver unique experiences for our consumers worldwide through the many products that help people lead more connected lives," said president and CEO of Samsung Group Electronics North America, Gregory Lee.

He continued, "We are honored that CTA and the industry recognize our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in consumer experience as we look forward to demonstrating our latest achievements at the 2016 International Consumer Electronics Show."

Samsung Group's products that earned CES 2016 awards are in 18 categories, like TV, mobile, tablet, monitor, wearable, digital imaging, memory and home appliance. They are Samsung Gear S2, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy View tablet, Gear VR, ATIV Book 9 Pro, Samsung 950 PRO 512GB solid state drive, the world's first 2TB consumer SSD Samsung 850 PRO 2T, the Bluetooth and IoT-enabled Samsung SleepSense Sleep Monitor, first Universal Storage-based mobile memory Samsung 128GB UFS and the highest density mobile DRAM chip Samsung 12Gb LPDDR4, according to GSM Arena.

Samsung Group's new CES 2016-awarded smartwatch, Gear S2 has been recognized by reviewers as a much improved wearable compared to its predecessor. It now has an intuitive circular design that goes with a rotating bezel for easy navigation.

Most of Samsung Group's award-winning products and more will have their time at CES 2016, on Jan. 6 to 9, in Samsung booth #11906 in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Hall. The Jan. 5 Samsung Conference at CES will feature some of these products.
