'Hwashin' Park Myung Soo on Charity "I Do It Because I Can Afford It"

Comedian Park Myung Soo revealed his thoughts on donating to the society.

October 1, comedian Park Myung Soo, actor Cheon Jung Myung and Kim Yoon Sung appeared on an episode of the SBS talk show "Hwashin."

During the show, MCs brought up Park Myung Soo's previous donations to charity, all of which Park Myung Soo shyly disregarded.

After consistent questioning of the MCs, Park Myung Soo stated, "The reason why I avoid talking about charity is because it is nothing special. Comedian Yoo Jae Suk does it as well, and other colleagues do it, but only the news of me doing charity has been publicized."

Park Myung Soo added, "When I first decided to donate to a charity, I called the organization and only said, 'This is Park Myung Soo. I would like to donate to your organization because I think I am wealthy enough to afford it.  Please link my bank account through a direct deposit' and hung up. Since then, I've been doing it for 5 to 6 years now.s  It's really nothing special."

On another note, the SBS talk show "Hwashin" will no longer be broadcasted.
