JYPE Responds To Suzy's Dating Rumor With Sung Joon

On October 11, a day after her birthday, Korean outlet media Sports Seoul released pictures of Suzy having dinner with her "Gu Family Book" co-star Sung Joon, and many fans are speculating if the two are dating.

The pictures were taken last September 24 and the actress was spotted with Sung Joon in a Japanese restaurant at Cheongdamdong, Gangnam. Although they were with a mutual friend, Sung Joon was seen putting his arm over Suzy's shoulder, and Suzy was seen playing with his hand, causing fans to believe in the rumor.

However, news reached her agency JYP Entertainment, and they quickly denied this. They claimed that the two were only meeting as friends.

"Suzy and Sung Joon are close friends. Other cast and staff from the "Gu Family Book" were there as well, and they definitely did not meet exclusively," said a representative.

"They have gotten close because of their filming for "Gu Family Book" and they often meet with their friends, but they are not dating."

Sung Joon portrayed the character Gon in the drama, the faithful body guard of Suzy's character Dam Yeo Wool.
