Ban Ki-Moon Says Israel 'Breeding' Palestinian Terrorism; UN Sec Gen Calls Members To Respect The Country

United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon said Israel is "breeding" Palestinian terrorism. Speaking about the most recent attacks by Palestinians against Israel, Ban said it is the result of being "bred from nearly five decades of Israeli occupation."

According to a report on The Jerusalem Post, Ban likewise blamed for the region's deterioration, the "settlement enterprise."

This is the message delivered Tuesday on his behalf at the "Rights of the Palestinian people" conference. Held in Jakarta, Indonesia, the conference was "organized by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the Question of Jerusalem."

Israel was accused of Palestinian ethnic cleansing in Jerusalem by Al-Hag Director-General Shawan Jabarin. Al Haq is a human rights group of Palestinians.

According to Ban, "It is the result of fear, humiliation, frustration and mistrust. It has been fed by the wounds of decades of bloody conflict, which will take a long time to heal. Palestinian youth in particular are tired of broken promises and they see no light at the end of the tunnel."

United Nations Ambassador Danny Danon dubbed the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, "a body detached from reality." On the UN's Secretary General's accusation, he emphasized "there is no justification for terrorism."

Danon said rather than wasting time on rationalizing Palestinian terrorism, UN should "confront the Palestinian Authority to eradicate incitement coming from its highest echelons, permeating into the education system and social networks."

Ban Ki-Moon admitted that they are biased against Israel, saying "There is some bias against Israel, [the] Israeli people, and government," reported Israel National News.

He continued that Israel should equal representation for all equal rights, "firm principle of the UN."

Ban Ki-Moon then said that as a UN member, Israel should be respected equally with the other 192 member states. He encourages all UN member states to stop their discrimination against Israel.
