Park Seo Joon And Ji Sung Win MBC Best Couple Award

The 2015 MBC Drama Awards presented the award for Best Couple to characters from "Kill Me, Heal Me." But it was not Ji Sung and his lady Hwang Jung Eum that received the award but Ji Sung and his male co-star Park Seo Joon.

In the drama Ji Sung played a man with dissociative identity disorder caused by childhood trauma. Ji Sung's character was splintered into seven different personalities ranging from baby to bad boy. One of his characters was a teenaged girl named Ahn Yo Na and she had a crush on the writer Oh Ri On, played by Park Seo Joon. The persistent Ahn Yo Na really liked Oh Ri On and was determined to have him.

Unfortunately for Oh Ri On, he could never predict when Ji Sung's Yo Na personality would take over. Park Seo Joon would think he was safe and suddenly he was being pursued by a man who thought he was a teenage girl.

When Ji Sung's character was living as one of his male personalities the two were friends. When Ahn Yo Na took over, Park Seo Joon's character often had to run to escape her.

The characters even exchanged an unscripted kiss in the drama. Ji Sung improvised the kiss, catching Park Seo Joon by surprise, and in so doing created a moment of k-drama bromance magic.

The announcement that the actors won the award for Best Couple was also met with surprise and laughter. When the actors reached the stage to accept the award they were still laughing. Park Seo Joon embraced Ji Sung which caused him to smile.

The awards show is staged at the MBC Sangam Headquarters in Seoul and is hosted by comedian Shin Dong Yup and actress Lee Sung Kyung.

Since "Kill Me Heal Me" Park Seo Joon reunited with Hwang Jung Eum in the romantic comedy "She Was Pretty."
