Kim Soo Hyun Received The Grand Prize At The 2015 KBS Drama Awards
Kim Soo Hyun was the recipient of the Grand Prize or Daesang at the 2015 KBS Drama Awards, sharing the honor with "All About My Mom" actress, Go Doo Shim.
Kim was recognized for his portrayal of Baek Seung Chan, an intrepid variety show director in the weekend series, "Producer." He also received a Best Couple award for the role, along with co-stars Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Tae Hyun.
The 27-year-old Hallyu star, whose fans dominated the audience with LED signs, was also honored with the Netizen award, along with teen actress, Kim So Hyun.
The domestic publication Xsports News compiled a complete list of award recipients.
So Ji Sub received the Best Actor award in the Top Excellence in Acting Category in recognition of his compelling performance as Kim Young Ho, an acclaimed personal trainer who reluctantly returns to Korea to inherit the directorship of a conglomerate in the romantic drama, "Oh My Venus."
"Oh My Venus" served as his follow-up K-Drama role to the hit series, "Master's Sun."
Chae Si Ra was honored as the Best Actress in the Top Excellence in Acting Category for her portrayal Kim Hyun Sook, an uneducated woman who embarks on a journey of self-discovery through the help of her female dominated family in the compelling series, "Unkind Women."
"Unkind Women" writer Kim In Young was recognized for her excellent screenwriting with the series.
Honorees in the Excellent Acting Award, Feature Length or Serial Drama included Kim Kap Soo for his portrayal of a downtrodden patriarch in "All About My Mom," Kim Tae Woo for "Jin Bi Rok," and Eugene for "All About My Mom."
Excellent Acting in a Mid-Length Drama honors went to the stars of the breakout hit, "God of Trade Gaekju 2015," Jang Hyuk and Kim Min Jung.
Chae Tae Hyun, Shin Min Ah were recognized with Best Actor and Best Actress in a Mini-Series, respectively.
The Best Couple Award led to a packed stage, as Shin Min Ah and So Ji Sub were honored for their on-screen chemistry in "Oh My Venus," along with Kim Soo Hyun, Cha Tae Hyun, and Gong Hyo Jin for "Producer." BtoB's Yook Sungjae and Kim So Hyun were recognized as a Best Couple in "Who Are You: School 2015," while Jang Hyuk and Han Chae Ah rounded out the honorees for "God of Trade: Gaekju 2015."
Park Bo Gum, who is currently wowing viewers in "Reply 1988," was the recipient of the Popularity Award, along with Nam Joo Hyuk, AOA's Seolhyun, and emerging actress Joe Bo Ah.
The Rookie of the Year or Newcomer category represented some of the hottest stars in Korean entertainment.
Yeo Jin Goo was recognized for his performance in the weekend teen drama, "Orange Marmalade," along with Chae Su Bin for "Blue Bird's House" and Kim So Hyun for "Who Are You: School 2015."
