EXID's Hani might be starring in an upcoming web drama!
A representative from Playlist reported to Newsen, confirming, "It is true that we have mailed a casting offer to EXID's Hani for an upcoming web drama titled 'Blue Moon.' Nevertheless, we are currently discussing the matter, and nothing has been decided yet."
"Blue Moon" is said to be about a bartender who is an employee at a speakeasy bar. As she gives advice to couples with problems, she attempts to move on from her own heartbreak caused by her past love. Hani was offered to act as the female lead named Nana, a head bartender who is famous with customers for her pride in work, cold aura, and is easy to approach while setting limits.
If Hani does accept the role, she will be making her acting debut in "Blue Moon" as the lead star, since her debut as an artist back in 2012.
In 2015, Hani was cast as a guest role in a sitcom drama entitled "The Producers." She appeared on the 3rd episode of the show as herself, together with other artists like Sunmi, 2PM's Nickhun, GOT7's Jackson Wang, 2AM's Jo Kwon, and many more.
Apart from drama, EXID's Hani often appears on numerous television programs as a guest. She was first seen on the 3rd season of 'Happy Together' in 2007, in episodes 383, 491, and 492. Her next appearances were in the 2009 shows 'You Hee Yeol's Sketchbook,' 'Let's Go! Dream Team (Season 2),' in the 2010 broadcasts 'Running Man' and 'Hello Counselor, then in 2011 telecast 'Weekly idol.'
The following years, Hani had made appearances in more TV shows. In 2014, she was one of the main casts of tvN's 'Always Cantare.' In 2015, she was offered another main cast in two variety programs, JTBC's 'Off to School' and 'Crime Scene,' as well as cast member in SBS's 'Law of the Jungle.'
Meanwhile, Hani debuted as an EXID member under Banana Culture on February 2012 with the single "Whoz That Girl." But prior to her debut, she was initially set to be released as a member of SISTAR under JYP Entertainment but was cut from the company after a year.
This past May, she and her fellow EXID member Jeonghwa left Banana Culture, although EXID is not disbanded but would go on hiatus.
