"Soul Repairer" Stars Shin Ha Kyun, Jung So Min All Smiles in First Day of Filming Amid Pandemic

KBS2's new drama series, "Soul Repairer," kicked off happily during its first filming. The whole cast enjoyed the first day, all-smilingly, showing how teamwork is done.

"Soul Repairer" is a light-hearted drama that talks about a professional psychiatrist and a music and theatre actress. The characters will cross paths and deal with their lives and the people around them.

The cast of this upcoming series already completed a 5-hour script reading with the directors and crew members. Everyone tried to ensure that they would grasp the character for the show. Medical professional roles are not easy to portray since it talks about skills and experience.   

One of the lead actors, Shin Ha Kyun, will portray Lee Shi Joon, a detective with a lion-heartened personality and is serious about his work. In real life though, he is professional and takes care of his co-stars and crew members. He's been acting since 1998 and appeared in many successful films and TV dramas. In his debut in the entertainment industry, he became popular as a young North Korean soldier in the "Joint Security Area" in late 2000. After the show, he accumulated a huge following and more drama series came in.  

Then, the other lead star is Jung So Min who will play the role of Han Woo Joo. She is famous as a musical actress and works hard to be credible in her career. Han Woo Joo will play a valuable source of motivation for the patients.

Jung So Min's previous drama series proves how much of a good actress she is. She started as a supporting role in "Bad Guys" in 2010. It did not take long for her to land a leading role in the same year in the hit rom-com drama "Playful Kiss." In every role she handles is her brilliant acting alongside the industry's big names. Often, she makes a good reputation in whatever role she touches. In 2018, she was involved in a dating rumor with her co-star Lee Joon in "My Father is Strange." Rumor has it that they have been in a relationship since October 2017.

Amidst the pandemic, everyone started in a positive working environment. The crew members cited how fun and easy to work with Shin Ha Kyun and Jung So Min are. They all want to work hard and provide a good show for all the viewers.

"Soul Repairer" is slated to broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday, starting in May 2020.
