Miss A’s Suzy Says She Is Not A Romantic

Miss A's Suzy Bae has made it clear that she is not dating Sung Joon, her "Gu Family Book" co-star. She says they are just friends. But what exactly is she looking for in a romantic relationship?

When asked about the photographs that showed Sung Joon with his arm around her she made a face as if to say that the situation was awkward and then re-stressed the fact that the two were just friends.

"Sung Joon and I hang out often because we are close," she said. That's all."

In the past she has been romantically linked with her "Dream High" co-star Kim Soo Hyun and her "Gu Family Book" co-star Lee Seung Gi. But she insisted Kim Soo Hyun was just a friend and Lee Seung Gi was just a co-star even though his on-set kisses did make her heart flutter.

Kdrama fans may wonder. If none of these attractive men are her ideal guy, who is and what exactly is Suzy looking for in a relationship?

"I don't really dream about the typical romantic relationship," she said. "I never really daydream about the perfect kind of date or how I would feel on such a date. Instead, I want an honest, and straight-forward kind of a relationship, where I can openly share my thoughts with the other person."

In the past she has said that she is looking for a romantic partner that is more like a friend.

"I want someone I can tell everything to," she said. "My ideal guy would be someone I can date comfortably and not someone I have to be all mushy with."

Are there any other qualities that she finds desirable in men?

"I find it sexy if men are hard workers, honest, easygoing, carefree and aren't fixated on how they always look," she said.

Previously she listed actors Song Joong Ki, Jung Woo Sung and Kang Dong Won as her ideal types. But then she has also included 2PM's Wooyoung, Beast's Yang Yoseob, MBLAQ's Lee Joon and American actor Ian Somerhelder as her ideal types. She even named her puppy after Ian Somerhelder's "Vampire Diaries" character.

When she likes someone she prefers to get to know the person gradually.

"Ideally, we would like the same things, have fun no matter what we ended up doing and feel a connection through our conversations," she said.

Maybe there's hope for Sung Joon yet. They are only friends now, but give it time.
