Since father's day is fast approaching, let us celebrate with our Korean dramas' "appa" and award them with a warm greeting of Happy Father's day!

While there are plenty of K-drama fathers that should be nominated for winning the "best dad" award, we have listed down those who are quite extraordinary for having imperfect and flawed personalities but are caring and kindhearted at the same time. In reality, our dads may be imperfect and flawed, but we know they care for us and love us deeply.

They may not all be perfect, but these fictional fathers all have big hearts!

Here are four K-drama dads that we're celebrating with this Father's Day.

Pilgu is blessed to have two fathers. One is his real dad, Jong-ryul, who is a baseball star, and the second one is his "acting" dad, Yong-Sik, the current partner of his mother, Dong-Baek.

It is clear that Pilgu doesn't want a lot of attention and only seek for quality time with his mother. However, the never-ending effort of the two fathers in his life to win his approval really melts our hearts. Both fathers have different ways and methods, but both have the same goal, and that is to love and protect Pilgu.

Captain Ri's father in "Crash Landing on You"

In "Crash Landing on You," Captain Ri's father is the high-ranking Director-General Ri Choong-ryeol, which explains why he is feared by many. Ri Choong-ryeol is an upright general that became involved with South Korean Yoon Se-Ri. Everybody expected that he is going to disown his son to keep his position and the family's honor.

However, in the end, he always had his son's best interests at heart. He did all his best to protect him and even sent men to back up his son in South Korea and used his power to defend him until the end.

Kim Bok-Joo struggled hard with her life since her adolescent stage, her first love and heartbreak experience. But through her struggles and challenges, her "appa" Kim Chang-Gul, a former weightlifter and owner of Bok Chicken restaurant, has been present to guide her every step of the way.

However, "appa" Kim Chang-Gul also has his fair share of imperfections, like when he got mad at Bok-Joo when she went to a weight loss clinic because she had a crush on the trainer. But in the end, he felt sad and guilty, realizing that Bok-Joo is like every girl her age, experiencing love.

Bok-Joo's dad gifted her a tube of lipstick to make up for it.

Sae-royi's dad in "Itaewon Class"

Park Sae-royi and his dad Park Sung-Yeol's story is just a short-lived one, but the latter's influence and impact on his son was massive that it because Sae-royi's inspiration to achieve success. The unjust death of Mr. Park drove Park Sae-royi to face is a huge battle with his enemies in the business. He stood still and strong for whatever he believed was right.

Mr. Park was also considered as the father figure of Oh Soo-ah. She vouched to help Park Sae-royi, and she became the key to achieving Sae-royi's goal to bring down the Jangga Group.
