We should normalize giving credit to those usual supporting veteran actors and actresses. Why so? Because they never miss making the drama even more exciting and interesting.

Since we have already featured those supporting actors that make a drama extraordinary, now, let's give credit to these actresses who we are also familiar with as they tend to pop up almost always and boost the storyline.

Kim Mi Kyung

Kim Mi Kyung made her theater debut in 1985. After a year, she entered the film and then in the Korean drama industry. She then became a successful actress and is now one of the most recognized actresses in Korean TV. She has gained a lot of fans worldwide!

Kim Mi Kyung would always portray the character of a stony-faced but loving mom who, at the end of the day, survives through a crisis. Like, seriously, her role would always be a good, hard-working mother.

Her role in the Korean drama "The Heirs" is a mute hard-working mother that touched our hearts. But what we love most is her iconic hacker ahjumma Min Ja in "Healer."

Kim Young Ok is a veteran, award-winning South Korean actress. She is best known as South Korea's "National Grandma" since she mostly portrayed grandmother roles in films and television dramas.

Yes! She's most likely to play the character of your grandma, my grandma, and everybody's grandma! And while watching her, you will feel worried that she might die before the drama ends.

Lee Il Hwa

South Korean actress Lee Il Hwa started her acting career debut in 1991. Since then, she has appeared in many television dramas, such as "Reply 1997" and "Reply 1994."

She would usually portray the character of a complicated, stressed-out mom but loves her children like crazy even if she has a lot going on that they couldn't even imagine.

Nam Gi Ae

Nam Gi Ae is a South Korean veteran theater actress. Her acting debut started in All About My Mom but she became well known for her roles in Korean dramas, namely "Oh My Venus" (2015), "Another Oh Hae Young" (2016), "W" (2016), "Perfect Wife" (2017), "Bing Goo" (2017), "Suspicious Partner" (2017), "Mother" (2018), and "When the Weather Is Fine" (2020).

She would always portray the character of a society lady with hair that's big and full of secrets. But beware of her nerves of steel. She may be sweet and kind but she always has something up her sleeves.

Yoon Yoo Sun

Yoon Yoo Sun began her career as a child actress way back in 1975. And up until now, she continues to be very active in the entertainment industry. Her roles in Korean dramas are very vital, notably in "Even If the Wind Blows" (1995), "High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged" (2011), and "Another Promise" (2014).

Yoon Yoo Sun's role would always be a sweet-but-snappy lady you wouldn't want to mess with. She's very good with her chill and poker face but once you wake up her crazy side, she'll snap in a matter of seconds.

Ra Mi Ran

Next, Ra Mi Ran! Just a mention of her name allows us to think of the many dramas she's starred in - that's, of course, an easy task given that you're a K-drama buff yourself, right? She melted our hearts as a caring, virtuous wife and mom in "Reply 1988," albeit she's a bit bad-tempered. Then, she also appeared in "Melting Me Solftly" and films "The Dude in Me" and "Girl Cops." Her acting is always on point, which was why she was dubbed as a scene-stealer.

Of course, who would forget the one and only? In 2019 alone, she appeared and portrayed different roles in six dramas - that's how versatile she is. Suffice it to say that no one -  and we mean no one - has her range. She is notable for her roles in "Reply 1988," "Her Private Life," "When The Camellia Blooms," "Shopping King Louie," and many more. She's so good as an actress that she obviously gets cast in various K-series, and we're all here for it!

Kim Sun Young bagged the Best Supporting Actress on the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards for her performance in "Crash Landing on You."
