Song Seung Heon Opens Up On Working With Seo Ji Hye, His Previous Dramas, and More!
On July 4, Song Seung Heon came as a guest at the SBS's radio program, "Kim Young Chul's Power FM," and shared his thoughts about his recently-concluded hit romance drama he recently starred in, called "Dinner Mate," his true personality off-camera, and more!
The actor said he feels like "Dinner Mate" started just a few days ago but it's actually ending today. He added that they filmed the last episode two weeks ago due to an overseas broadcasting situation.
Speaking of his leading lady, Seo Ji Hye, who plays Wo Do Hee, Song Seung Heon said she's very pretty and also a good actress. He says Seo Ji Hye has the biggest eyes among all the actresses that he had acted with, and he was able to tell that to Seo Ji Hye himself during the taping. He also mentioned how her eyes are bigger than actress Kim Tae Hee's.
Song Seung Heon had his breakthrough in the hit drama "Autumn In My Heart" (2000), and during the interview, he said he feels like it was only yesterday when he acted in that classic TV series. When he looked it up, it was actually from September in the year 2000. He was quite shocked when he realized that he acted in "Autumn In My Heart" 20 years ago, not 10. He says that time really flies fast.
The actor made sure to credit his drama "Autumn In My Heart" for his success today. In the past, it was able to achieve a 42% viewership rating. He says that the drama motivated him to sit and talk in Kim Young Chul's Power FM.
Song Seung Heon then continued to tell how fascinated he was when Korean dramas started to rise internationally. Back then, he wasn't even recognized by foreigners, but people from overseas kept visiting him in his house and his office after a successful drama. When asked about the most memorable scene, Song Seung Heon answers by saying the scene where he was carrying Song Hye Kyo on his back across the beach.
Mentioning his other hit drama, "East of Eden," he was quite shocked about how hot the weather was in Hong Kong while filming it there. When he was asked what drama was the most memorable, he answered "Three Guys and Three Girls," his debut drama. He shared he experienced many hardships while filming it in a span of three years, but he never regretted it because it made him the person he is today.
Further, the actor mentioned that "Home Alone" is the TV show where he was able to show his silly side. He said he tends to mess around before filming a serious scene and is more clumsy in real life, especially when machinery types are involved.
Lastly, he said that most people who don't know him say that he seems like the oldest of three siblings but, if people actually knew him, they would think like he is the youngest.
