BLACKPINK Jisoo Confirmed to Star in Upcoming Drama by "Sky Castle" Director and Writer
BLACKPINK's Jisoo is finally going to be a lead star in an upcoming drama by "Sky Castle" producers.
According to reports from MyDaily, the K-pop star confirmed to be one of the cast members and the female lead in a new drama "Snowdrop" (tentative title). The said series producers are in talks to have it air under JTBC network.
"Snowdrop" is a working project in collaboration with writer Yoo Hyun Mi and PD Cho Hyun Tak. Both of which are responsible for the hit drama series "Sky Castle".
A representative from YG Entertainment confirmed the reports and commented, "It's definite that Jisoo will star in the new drama "Snowdrop."
Fans are excited to watch Jisoo in her acting performance and as she showcases another side of how talented she can be in drama and singing. Netizens are tweeting for the male lead role may it be Ahn Hyo Seop or Park Seo Joon.

The upcoming drama will be Jisoo's acting debut as an actress, showcasing her first ever lead role. She made her cameo appearance in KBS's "The Producers" and also appeared in tvN's "Arthdal Chronicles" as Sae Na Rae.
Though early this year, netizens were pairing Jisoo and Cha Eun Woo to cast in the K-drama adaptation of the hit webtoon series "True Beauty." Fans commented that she would definitely match the female lead character of the web series. But to their dismay, it wasn't the outcome since the female lead role went to another actress.
While waiting for more updates of the said new drama, BLACKPINK Jisoo and the rest of the girl group is busy in preparation for their comeback album on October 2. The group's single in collaboration with Selena Gomez will be released on August 28.
