Jung Woo an actor from South Korea, known for his acting debut in the entertainment industry that made him famous, confessed to having gone into hiding because of excessive reactions from his fans at the height of his career.

In an interview on YouTube, Jung Woo spoke openly about how his life had been affected after starring in the popular tvN drama "Reply 1994." The actor's remarks offered a rare glimpse into the darker side of sudden stardom in the K-drama industry.

In response, Jung Woo described disturbing experiences that followed his sudden rise to stardom, as he shared via @zzanbro/YouTube. "I was incredibly grateful, but as I suddenly became famous, I gained a lot of sasaeng fans... Some people sent me envelopes filled with their own hair, and others wrote letters in blood."
The actor elaborated on the extent of the invasions of privacy, noting how some individuals went beyond typical fan behavior. He explained that certain fans would approach his home directly. He further shared that some sasaeng fans would come right up to the alley in front of his house to take photos, and would even dig through his trash, leaving viewers stunned.
Jung Woo acknowledged the emotional toll these incidents took on him during that period. "I couldn't really handle that situation," he said. He then described how the fear affected his daily life, leading him to withdraw from public activities. "For a while, I think I lived in hiding. I was very scared, and I had to be cautious in many ways."
