New OCN drama “Dark Hole” Introduces Lead Stars Ok Vin and Lee Joon Hyuk
OCN or the Orion Cinema Network is set to air a new Korean drama "Dark Hole", a sci-fi series with a mixture of mystery. It entails a monster that waits in a sinkhole waiting for their next prey to suck up their souls, but the characters of the drama happen to see that they are also changing into monsters.
The agency talks about having Kim Ok Vin and Lee Joon Hyuk as the main protagonists of the series. Kim Ok Vin is a South Korean actress that has starred in many movies and as well as series such as "The Discloser," "The Villainess," "The Unfair," "11:00 AM," and many more. Despite the mentioned movies and series, she has gained the most popularity in two series, namely, "Arthdal Chronicles," "Children of A Lesser God."
The role that Kim Ok Vin is going to portray is her being a homicide detective, named Lee Hwa San, in the series. Blinded with her own goals in life, she gets distracted and is unable to protect those people that she is close with and suffers from the consequences of her selfishness.
Diving even deeper into depression, she decides to take her life, and as she was going to do it, she witnesses something that needs the help of higher authorities. She testifies to a murder scene, and through that, she uses it as her strength to seek out revenge.
Lee Joon Hyuk, from "Baseball Girl", "No Mercy," and "Stranger 2", also played roles in TV shows including "Summer Days; Yeo-Reum" and "Drama Stage: Assistant Manager B and Love Letter." He has gained utmost respect to viewers and fans with his appearance in "365: Repeat The Year," "The Lies Within," and he gained his popularity with the films mentioned above. He is currently in the drama "Stranger 2" together with Bae Doona and also Cho Seung Woo.
His role is still in talks, but what was on paper is that he is going to become a former commando Sergeant Yoo Tae Han, who grows up as someone who takes care of his family at a young age. In his 20's he is dispatched to Africa, specifically Somalia. He is someone who has a strong person, and at the same time, annoying and is not much of a talker.
Many fans of both parties mentioned that they are excited to have another person be paired with Lee Joon Hyuk and the fact that it is a mixture of mystery and science fiction. Not only that, this will thrill us with the genre that it has but also with the life lessons that it brings, on how courage and determination in life can shape us to become better human beings that we currently are.
The castings are yet being finalized, and the series is said to be starting their shooting next month and will hopefully air on 2021.
