Lee Joon Hyuk From "Stranger 2" Encounters Problem With His Fan Cafe
Lee Joon Hyuk is the determined and ambitious prosecutor Seo Dong Jae in the season 2 "Stranger 2". In real life, is a shy and unsociable man. He is not active with any social media platforms, although in the past, he did create his own personal Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Since 2015, Lee Joon Hyuk hasn't tweeted anything which got hacked. His personal Instagram account got deleted during "Stranger" season 1 finale.
During one of his magazine interviews in 2019, Lee Joon Hyuk admitted that he doesn't have any plans on getting his Instagram back since he is not fond of "taking selfies" and he doesn't have the urge to be active in social media.
The actor did have fans who wanted to show their support and thus they created a fancafe named "Jupiter". Recently his official fan cafe's administrator unexpectedly posted on one social media platform.
On August 25, a Korean community site shared screenshots of a long post on Twitter. The post is from the admin of Lee Joon Hyuk's fan cafe, "Jupiter". According to the tweet, "The letter posted is from the actor's fan cafe administrator and she posted on a bulletin board where Lee Joon Hyuk can read." The content talks about the actor being unsupportive to his fans.
"Jupiter" wrote: "I felt that running this fan cafe for a long time does not bother you. Admins and members of this group are here to support and seriously take care of you. But it seems that you as the owner don't have any interest with your fans. Though you are not active and prefer to be withdrawn from social media, it has something to do with your sincerity in communicating with your fans."
The letter expresses the dissatisfaction that she as an admin does not feel any appreciation from the actor.
In another paragraph, the admin continued, "You have received gifts from your fans but you never acknowledge anything. You mentioned in the past that it will be too much for the fans sending you gifts, but is showing how grateful you can be is hard to do. I am disappointed that you don't care to give us a spare time of your day and tell us how you feel."
According to the letter, other fan cafes received attention and support from their respective actors. The admin of the fan cafe stated that it requires a cooperation between actors and his fans to work things out continuously. The admin felt confused what to do with the group.
The said screenshot post of the fan cafe admin went viral online and eventually faced criticism for being unreasonable towards the actor. Since then the fan cafe shut down all the forums and planned to have a meeting with the members for their next action.
Another tweet appeared and this time is a general informative post regarding the malicious comment from one of the admin.
"On August 25, Genie was one of the admin of the fan cafe 'Jupiter'. She uploaded a letter on the cafe's 'Secret Letters' bulletin board. The bulletin board is one that Lee Joon Hyuk has access to and can see it. Genie posted a long letter of complaint and we therefore wanted to expose her," the letter stated.
"After what happened, an hour later, Genie turned the cafe on private with her own will. In the long run, there will be a discussion but even if Genie will step down from the cafe she still needs to apologize to Lee Joon Hyuk," the letter went on.
The members of the fan cafe also pointed out that Lee Joon Hyuk is active and communicates with his fans from time to time.
