Several Korean celebrities debuted at an early age and have worked in the entertainment industry for a long time. But for these stars, they gave acting career a shot later, which changed their life forever.

It's a huge leap to debut at a late age, but with good roles and impressive acting skills, stardom is within reach. Take a look at these celebrities who debuted at their late 20s and find their spot in the acting industry.

Yoo In Na

Yoo In Na is a well-rounded actress. She started a career as a singer and worked with five entertainment agencies, but things didn't turn out well. She decided to venture into acting and debuted in 2009 when she turned 28 years old. 

Her first minor role in the drama, "High Kick Through The Roof" (2009), paved the way to more new projects. After two years, Yoo In Na rose to stardom as she won the Best New Actress (TV) at the Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in the hit drama "Secret Garden". She attracts viewers in her performance in the hit drama "Goblin".

She is slated to star in the upcoming drama "The Spy Who Loved Me" to premiere in October.

Sung Hoon

His good looks and acting skills are natural. Sung Hoon's breakthrough role was in the 2011 drama "New Tales of Gisaeng", which won him the Best New Actor at the SBS Acting Awards. A new career and acting award at the age of 29 were unexpected for him.

Sung Hoon appeared in films, dramas, and variety shows, proving his versatility as an actor. 

Ryu Jun Yeol

At the age of 30, acting is part of his destiny. He debuted in the movie "Social Phobia" (2015) and won him a Rising Star Award at the KAFA Films 2015. 

Later that year, he rose in popularity in the classic drama "Reply 1988" (2015). Since then, more acting projects arrived and he met his long-time girlfriend Hyeri in the aforementioned drama. 

He will star in the upcoming film "Alien" to premiere next year 2021.

Ma Dong Seok

Ma Dong Seok appeared in the 2005 movie "Heavens Soldier" at the age of 35. He has since appeared in films and drama, his particular notable role was in the hit film "The Neighbor", which he won Best Supporting Actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2012. 

He is best known for his role in the movie "Train To Busan" and he is currently starring in the upcoming Hollywood Marvel film "The Eternals" set to air next year.
